Wii Lose Weight Program

Please don’t be mean, I need some serious help and the situation is sad for me. Can you help me loose weight?
I weighed myself a few hours ago, and I weighed in at 294lbs.! I am 25 years old, and I believe I am 5’8″. I have been doing the Wii Fit for like 33 days, however, of those days I have only actually worked out 21 of those days, and 13 of those days I have worked out for an hour or more. I have only lost like a pound and a half. I know the weight isn’t just going to melt off, but I need some extra help. I do not have health insurance right now, and I do not have enough money for a diet program (I have a massive amount of student loan payments ready to come my way). So, should I just exercise more, eat smaller portions, cut out certain things (if so, cut out what), get a weight loss pill (like Hoodia or something), or all of the above? Please, I need help desperately. I know I won’t be like a size zero or anything like that, I just want to get down to a descent weight (like even 250lbs. or 225lbs.).
Here are your best bets to lose weight in a HEALTHY way. The weight won’t melt off, but if you do it, and stick to it then you’ll be a lot better off. I only did about half of these things and I lost 40lbs over about 8 months (you should never lose more than 5lbs a month if you want to keep it off permanently)
Eat about 6-8x a day – BUT.. here’s the important part.. no more food than about the same size as 1 of your hands (1 and 1/2 tops)
NO soda, not diet, not a little bit, not nothing NO SODA NO EXCEPTIONS. (After a few months if you’re doing really good 1 20oz a week or so won’t hurt you but if you’re like me after breaking the soda addiction you’ll find it’s really not that pleasing anymore) Stick with Juice, water, tea, milk, flavored waters, anything but soda. Even diet soda is really bad for you and causes you to gain weight just avoid it all together.
Make simple changes to your lifestyle (IE: If you live in a 2 story house go upstairs to go to the bathroom every time instead of choosing the closest bathroom, or if it’s a 1 story house use the bathroom on the far side of the house, when you go to the store park in the back of the parking lot instead of searching for the closest spot, always take the stairs instead of the elevator whenever possible) Little changes like this go a long way and really do make an impact for long term goals, plus these become habits that help keep the weight off after you lose it.
If you live alone or if it’s possible, increase the temperatures around you, the body naturally stores fat at lower temperatures to keep you warm, so if you usually keep your house at 70degrees put your thermostat at 80, (obviously this requires extra showers due to sweat production but you adjust to it after about 2 weeks of hating me for suggesting it lol) + your electric bill will thank you for this too. In the car, if it’s less than 110 outside roll down the window (unless you have to be someplace where you have to look nice of course) instead of turning on the AC.
Do your best to eliminate any stress in your life, stress also causes the body to store fat
Don’t eat within 2-3 hours of going to bed, and never ever ever skip breakfast.
Drink coffee if you don’t already (and you don’t have any medical reason not to) not stupid lates and stuff, but regular old fashion coffee, the caffeine boosts metabolism and of course gives you more energy to exercise.
Eat AFTER you work out, if you eat before you won’t get as good as a workout and you’ll be puttin food on a stomach in shut down mode, when you exercise you wake your body up, it’s the difference between cramming the garbage disposal as full and tightly packed as you can and turning it on and turning it on and throwing food in it by the handful, 1 way is a lot more productive (give it a try if you don’t understand the principle)
#1 rule though is not to deny yourself anything (except the soda.. but I’m sure you can find an “ok” replacement until you break the habit of sucking down gobs of soda all the time like 99% of America does) when I say this I’m referring to things like chocolate cake, cobblers, cookies, pies.. the things every woman HAS to have around “that time” or they go totally bananas. It’s ok to have your chocolate cake, but have self control (this gets easier over time I promise) whatever portions you used to eat cut them in half. If you used to eat a whole candy bar in 1 sitting, eat half and save the other for later.
It’s also always good to make yourself work for your junk food. (IE there’s a gas station about a mile from my house, if I want a candy bar then I get to WALK to the store to get it, if I cant be bothered to walk there then the chocolate just isn’t that important is it?)
There is no need to kill yourself hitting the gym 20hours a week like some people do or starving yourself like others.
Live your life, just.. rearrange it a bit. All of thee things by themselves will help you loose weight, when you start adding them together the weight loss rate increases.
The most important thing is to refrain from doing things you just can’t do. (Like a no carb diet) You want to make changes you can stick to for life. I hit my target weight over a year ago, and have kept it all off, and I’m so glad it did, honestly the biggest changes I made was cutting portions in half and getting rid of the soda (I’ve always been one to do stairs, park in the back of parking lots, and simple stuff like that) and honestly soda was the hardest. Back when I was “fat” I would drink 2-4 32-44oz sodas a DAY now I’ll drink 2-4 20oz sodas a MONTH. Usually I don’t even finish them they just seem sickly sweet now… Now I just drink sweet tea or vitamin water.
Feel free to email me if you want any more information that this, I think I’ve rambled on about as much as anyone on YA could ever want to read and then some
