Designer Whey protein and weight loss?
I am trying to lose weight to join the Navy. I am a 21/F I have lost 22lbs so far since the end of January and I need to lose 80lbs more to be within the weight requirements.Well My issue is I want to gain muscle too because I can’t do a push up for nothing I have no upper body strength.Will drinking Whey help with the weight loss , along with the muscle gain or will I just gain weight?
I do cardio 6 days a week and rest on Sunday I do either walking on the treadmill or a work out video from anywhere from 30 min-60 min I have some handweights none over 10lbs
Usually losing weight is simple numbers. You need to know your basic metabolic rate (BMR). Once you know your BMR then you can design a diet lower in calories than your BMR.
But…. it is not always that simple. You could also have metabolic anomalies or even hormone irregularities that can make losing weight virtually impossible.
Start with the simple stuff. Calculate your BMR right here http://www.bmi-calculator.net/bmr-calculator/ then alter your diet if necessary.
Now, if you don’t see results after that you may look into the hormonal or metabolic areas. Also make sure you are being realistic, and that you do have weight to use. Don’t forget… celebrities use tons of drugs and have personal trainers! We should all be so lucky
I have been doing the crossfit workouts and they have shredded my body big time (removed my body fat). They are pretty tough, but the results are quick!

Also to tone muscle (obviously you want a little muscle tone which is very sexy when done right) make sure you are getting plenty of protein to aid in recovery and building of new muscle tissue
