Does anyone know the clinical use of injections to lose weight?

A few years ago I went to the clinic of Dr. mass. Adipex prescribed and gave me a weekly injections to help lose weight. I remember the nurse saying that the B12, but also warned that the practice of safe sex and which also contained some kind of fertility drugs. With the regime, and good excersice drugs work very well. The last time my a friend asked me what was shot, and I could not remember. So if anyone out there is familiar with what I'm talking about, I would like to let I know everything in the shot. Thanks
