Calories To Lose Weight Men

would i gain weight if i were to go from a 1200 calorie a day diet to a 2500 calorie a day diet?
i am a male, large frame and need to lose some weight. i heard that in order to maintain your weight, for men, you need to eat 2500 calories a day. i want to lose weight and go on a 1200 calorie a day diet and if i were to go from a 1200 calorie diet and then back to a 2500 a day one, would i gain any weight?
Usually losing weight is simple numbers. You need to know your basic metabolic rate (BMR). Once you know your BMR then you can design a diet lower in calories than your BMR.
But…. it is not always that simple. You could also have metabolic anomalies or even hormone irregularities that can make losing weight virtually impossible.
Start with the simple stuff. Calculate your BMR right here http://www.bmi-calculator.net/bmr-calculator/ then alter your diet if necessary.
I would also suggest some of those crossfit workouts. They are very tough, but results are rapid. Here is a page on their site with work out http://www.crossfit.com/cf-info/excercise.html
Now, if you don’t see results after that you may look into the hormonal or metabolic areas. Also make sure you are being realistic, and that you do have weight to use. Don’t forget… celebrities use tons of drugs and have personal trainers! We should all be so lucky
