Whats the best muscle/weight loss protein powder or bar?
Im 14 5’11 an weigh 246. I play football at my high school and Im wondering what protein powder or bars are good for muscle gain and weight loss. Im on a tight budget and i also want to know where to get them and not from online. So plz 10 points for best answer.

It all depends on your diet and your goals. Looking to bulk up or looking to lose weight?
Different brands offer different types.
If you are lacking in fat in your diet, then take Muscle Milk. It has about 120 fat calories per serving.
If you are lacking in calories then take CytoGainer. It has almost 600 calories per serving not including the calories from the milk.
If you need protein + BCAA’s then take Monster Milk.
If you need just protein with none of the added junk, get Gold Standard Whey. It has 80 servings, 24g of protein per serving.
As far as loosing weight, don’t bother with protein powder. When you workout to lose weight you aren’t tearing the muscle, you’re using the muscle enough where it burns up the fat around it. Since you’re not tearing the muscle, you won’t need as much protein as others who are. You can get all your needed protein from rice, beans, meat and seafood.
In my opinion, Gold Standard Whey is the best bang for your buck. Like I said, it has 80 servings with 1 scoop a serving per 5lb container.
Other brands like CytoGainer has 4 scoops a serving with only 18 servings per 5lb container.
Muscle Milk only has 16 servings with 2 scoops a serving.
Same wtih monster milk.
If you’re on a tight budget and only have access to small amounts of cash every few weeks, i’d go with Muscle Milk. It usually sells for around 20-25$ for a 2 1/2 lb container.
But, if you can afford it, Gold Standard Whey will last you a lot longer and that only costs 50-60$ for a 5lb container.
Also, if you’re bulking, then eat some cottage cheese right before bed. This has Casein protein in it which is a time released protein that is released over 8 hours. This keeps your body in a anabolic state which will allow it to keep growing and it won’t steal protein from other muscle groups to repair itself.
Remember, Whey protein right after your workout and Casein protein right before bed.
